Sharon Morgan is a passionate and dedicated practitioner who draws inspiration from the clear clinical reasoning, and comprehensive training provided by the Australian Institute of Physiotherapy and Pilates (APPI).
Her practice is underpinned with over 30 years’ experience in sports coaching and coach education, physical performance, massage, horticulture therapy, environmental education, and personal experience of rehabilitation.
Work Philosophy
Sharon aims to empower students to listen to their bodies and make informed choices for lifelong well-being. A deeply empathetic person with a keen appreciation of movement and rehabilitation, her informed delivery is seasoned with learning and laughter.
In 2022, undertook cognitive stimulation therapy (CST) facilitator training, enabling her to work with individuals living with mild to moderate dementia.
Recognising the powerful benefits of Pilates exercises in improving balance, maintaining independence, and reducing fall risk, Sharon believes Pilates has a pivotal role to play in enhancing mental acuity and overall cognitive performance.
As we live longer, but not necessarily better, she welcomes conversations that widen research and facilitate intergenerational opportunities that promote lifelong learning and well-being.
Personal Philosophy
Sharon loves to move and loves to learn! She enjoys travel, plants, places, people, swimming in open spaces, and writing. She spends as much time as she can with her family in Norway: sharing precious moments, revelling in the seasons, and learning more about the language, culture, and quirkiness of the stunningly beautiful country they call home.
In a nutshell:
‘Celebrate and share the small steps, move with life as Life moves you along, laugh lots, be kind, make the most of the journey!’
Speaking words of wisdom…
